The 2026-27 School Year begins on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. Office hours during the school year are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm. A copy of our 2026-27 school calendar can be found below.

Application for Educational Benefits
Discovery Public School of Faribault – School Nutrition Program Public Release
Discovery Public School participates in the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program. Each year, we provide free and reduced‑price meals to students who qualify based on household income or direct certification through state programs.
Applications for Educational Benefits are available to all families at the start of the school year and may be submitted at any time. Information provided on the application is confidential and used only to determine eligibility for free or reduced‑price meals and other school benefits.
Eligibility is determined according to federal income guidelines issued by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Families will be notified of their eligibility after their application is processed.
