At Discovery we are able to offer opportunities for students to meet after school and socialize while learning new skills.
Sports Club
Sports Club is supervised by Mr. Cody Hanson. Students meet after school every Tuesday from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm to participate in a variety of activities that promote physical activity and enjoyment of the outdoors, such as nature walks, bowling, and swimming. If you would like your child to participate in Sports Club, please complete the permission slip below and return it to the main office or directly to Mr. Hanson.
Engineering Club
Engineering Club is supervised by our science teacher, Mr. Garret Bitker. In Engineering Club students work on engineering projects with the potential to compete locally, statewide, or nationally. Students will be building a Supermileage Car to compete at Brainerd International Raceway in May. Students also will have the opportunity to compete in the Engineering Machine Design Competition as well, in March 2023. We would love any interested mechanics or engineers to volunteer their time to talk about what they do.
Team Sports
Students at Discovery are sometimes able to compete in team sports throughout the district by special arrangement. If your child is interested in competing in team sports in the district, contact Mr. Dan Weisser for more information.
